This community located near Whitfield was named for one of its settlers, S. Green. Its post office opened in 1891 and closed in 1935.

Gulde, located eight miles east of Brandon, is said to have been named for a railroad official. The community was established as a flag station on the Alabama and Vicksburg Railroad in 1858.


This community, like many, was named for a family by that name. It was located seven miles northeast of Pisgah.
